Well, we moved back to Oklahoma!

We may earn money or products from the companies or products mentioned or linked to in this post.

Back in August we moved back to Oklahoma. The main reason is because we are going to have another addition to the family. Hopefully a girl this time.

We really downsized living spaces for the time being. We will be in another place, hopefully our forever home before the baby arrives in the early spring.

I was really down about not being able to bring the container garden. There was a lot of stuff left behind, which sucks. But it isn’t the first time we have started from scratch.

I had planned on getting a uhaul or some sort of box truck. but that wasn’t possible at the time. it would have been $1,500 for just the uhaul rental, then I would have needed the car haul trailer.

It was the worst time of year to move as far as renting a box truck goes. I know the trip we took up to Ohio took about $600 in gas at the time. The cost of gas has sure went down since then but with the cost of a uhaul, gas, food and a hotel or two would have been too much.

Then there was the issue with finding movers. since everyone was already booked up for quite some time, let alone the cost of movers. It would have just been too much.

So we decided to just try and sell as much stuff as we could, particularly the big items and load up what we could in the car and back of the truck and leave everything else.

I hate having to do that but didn’t have any better option. On the plus note, the folks where we rented from were able to post everything up on Facebook and other sites to get rid just about everything.

The training I was doing with learning the programming language was put on pause. I had to have internet access now that the compiler I have been using requires internet with its last major update, can’t work offline.

We have just recently gotten internet hooked up so maybe I’ll start back up on the training sometime but I’ve got some other priorities.

The place where we moved too is quite small but it does have a huge yard.

Where do we go from here?

We will be staying close to where we moved. we are currently staying at my father in law’s mobile home. But like I said it is too small, especially when we have another little one.

We already will have to get a bigger vehicle. Been debating on either a mini van or an SUV.

So we will be trading the car in, at least that is the plan.

One day we will be moved into our hopefully forever home. We know it will have to be before the baby arrives. We will need to stay somewhat close to where were at now.

The wifey doesn’t want to be away from her family anymore, which I get. That is why we moved back to Oklahoma. Being away from her family was hard enough, but then when she got pregnant, she didn’t want to go through it without her mom.

I can’t say I blame her though.

I’m no longer driving a truck!

While in Ohio I was able to make quite a bit and was able to get most bills paid down to the point to where I don’t need to make as much as I needed to before. We still got bills to pay off, but that will come in time.

I’m now working in a call center. It is similar to what I was doing before I went back OTR during the last pregnancy.

I receive call’s and do customer service in the sense. Currently I do work in the call center, but I have considered doing some work from home call center job’s.

Right now its about a 45 minute drive one way to work. I like what I do, it would just be nice to be able to have more time at home.

That and the wear and tear on the vehicle also the gas cost’s, I see it as more financially conscious to work from home.

Still considering working from home. It would be a bit of a pay cut that I can’t take just yet but hopefully in a few month’s I’ll have everything paid off and be debt free, that or at least lower my monthly expenses enough to be alright with a pay cut.

I really hate that I had to leave the container garden behind. I really miss the money I was making, but I love the amount of time I get with the family now. I don’t just work and sleep.
