Today I would like to tell you about my Ozark Trail 35L Choteau Daypack Backpack that I bought a few months ago for work. I use it to carry all my stuff needed for my for work. So I do not go hiking with it or anything like that. The most I walk with it on would be about a mile a day getting to and from the work truck and my personal truck. For that it does great.

I decided to do a quick video to show what all I carry in the pack, if you want to watch it, I was not able to upload the video to my website since the file is too large, so I went ahead and uploaded it to my YouTube channel.

I have not weighed the pack, but it is pretty light. I keep my  12V RoadPro Lunchbox Cooker along with Aluminum foil in order to wrap some burrito’s in to heat up and eat for my lunch’s. I have recently bought the  Coleman .20MM PVC Rain Suit, and I have not needed to use it yet, but it is looking like I might need to this week.

I Keep at least 3 bottles of water in the pack at any given time, I also bring a big bottle of water that I keep in the side pouches and I use the strap to keep it from falling out, it is a bit tall. I keep the baby wipe’s in there because when ever the flu season is here, I like to keep everything clean since I have a little one that doesn’t need to get sick. I also use them to keep the dash and steering wheel and gearshift clean. I try and keep a clean truck.

I keep an extra flashlight and headlamp for whenever I’m going to be off loading at a place that isn’t lit well, which is quite a few places. I had used regular safety glasses before, but I ended up getting some feed in my eye still, that wasn’t fun, so I decided to look into a pair of swimming goggle’s and I have used them ever since. I do have a problem with them fogging
up when it is real cold out, but for as often as I have to use them, they aren’t too bad.

I keep my Long form, which for those that have been wondering what that is, it is a medical certificate for CDL driver’s, in my pack as well. I keep a couple copies, one in the pack, one in my clipboard and one in each personal vehicle, that way I don’t have to worry about not having one if I ever get pulled over. I keep some extra pen’s in my pack as well. I do a lot of paperwork
and I don’t want to run out of ink in the middle of nowhere.

I like to listen to podcast’s while I drive, so that is why I have the AUX cable. I also have a 12V plug in and USB cable to charge my phone if it need’s it.

Since I don’t have to carry it on my shoulder’s far, I cant really tell you how well it hold up on your back, I have carried it a way a few time’s and I had no issues, the padded straps are nice and the padded back felt good, the straps are adjustable which I have had to adjust a few time’s this last winter with having to get extra space for my jacket.

There is a Hydration port on the top, I have never used it for anything like that, and I do not plan too with this pack. I have however been thinking about taking the pack with me to a park nearby that has a walking trail and see how it feel’s and hold’s up, but I haven’t been able too. I did something to my foot a few months ago and it is still giving me fit’s. When I am able to do that I will update my review on it.

I have noticed that it didn’t get anything on the inside wet when it got rained on a few week’s ago, I have been waiting for time to test that out with heavy rain’s but haven’t really had any, with spring coming up I’m sure that time will come.

The pack has multiple places where you can hook things on the outside, I haven’t used them much other than to test them out, they held up good. The bottom front compartment is where you can put some cold food or drink’s in, it is insulated to help keep things cool. I tried it out for my lunch item’s, it seemed to keep thing’s cool, but not cold cold, I had it setting on the floor
and it gets warm from the engine heat, that could of affected it, the ice block I used wasn’t frozen for long before I grabbed it out to try it. the second time I used a frozen block and left the pack on the seat and it kept everything nice and cold.

If you are a slipseat driver and you are looking for something to make it easier to keep all your things together and not have to carry everything over day after day, then I would highly recommend the  Ozark Trail 35L Choteau Daypack Backpack. If you are looking for something to use for hiking or I couldn’t tell you yes or no on this, I myself haven’t been able to take it on a 5 to 10 mile trek, so right now I will hold off on that, but once I am able to get my foot healed up and I get the time to, I will take it out and test it. If it turn’s out to do really well, then I would suggest it for hiking, but if not, I will be on the look out for something that would be better for that and I will then do another review, but just for what I do with it for now, it is perfect for me. If you have anything that you have been wondering about, let me know, and I will see what I can do about getting a review done on it.
